My little sister turned 19 the other day, not so little anymore! She insisted she wanted to have pancakes for breakfast at Rugby's recently opened Bacco Lounge!

Bacco Lounge has a very vintage style with a relaxed atmosphere. It is a unique space that has been turned into an individual and charming place to have a coffee and some food! It's very spacious and I like that because sometimes I just want to be left alone. I love the unique mix of furniture that don't quite match but they do. (If you understand my thinking lol).

I had the triple stacked buttermilk pancakes with sweet cured streaky bacon. The bacon was amazing! It was super crispy and sweet, exactly how I imagine the Americans to serve it! My little sister had the same pancakes but with passion fruit, strawberries, peach sauce and Greek yogurt. She has such a sweet tooth all day and ended up having a headache from all the treats she had! My eldest sister had eggy bread stack and bacon drizzled with golden syrup. When our food arrived I was honestly skeptical that I was still going to be hungry afterwards but I was surprised that I felt extremely full. Even as I felt that I couldn't finish it it was so delicious that I had to!

It's a little pricey but the food is on par that you will agree that it's money well spent!

I highly recommend you to visit Bacco Lounge because you won't be disappointed!

I haven't heard of Yes to's product range before until I went to Boots. I loved how cute and organic looking their packaging is. I was really attracted to the carrot range the most. Each range is specially formulated to different skin types. The Yes to Carrots is for normal to dry skin.

I don't really have a problem with eye bags, dark circles or ageing skin but I wanted an eye cream that could refresh my eyes and make them look brighter. This product is made to smooth and hydrate the delicate skin around the eyes and leave them moisturised, refreshed and soft. I've been using this eye cream for 2 weeks now, following the instructions to dab gently morning and night, and I can definitely say that they feel smoother and revitalised!

Yes to Carrots Moisturising Eye Cream £9.99. Available to purchase here from Boots.

Medium Five Guys style fries
Medium cajun fries

The upscale burger is the new fast food. People don't seem to be settling with drive-thrus and simple burgers but instead are opting for a fancy, more elaborate burger. Bring on Five Guys, a burger masterpiece with its price tag but none of the frills. Five Guys has just opened a new restaurant in Birmingham's Bullring and day 3 of it's arrival I had my taste of what they had to offer.

I tried the bacon cheeseburger with pickles, lettuce and mayo with a side of cajun fries. I was sharing the fries with my sisters so they ordered the five guys style fries so that we could try both. Note that the medium sized fries is actually pretty large and it is definitely for sharing! I really loved the Five Guys Style fries but found the cajun fries to be over salty and spicy. My burger was average, it had two beef patties sandwiched between pickles, lettuce and mayo in a bun. They are filled to the brim, literally, it's not the most appealing food especially as when you unwrap it out of its foil and dig in you create a mess. A burger even without fries should fill you up.

My favourite part was definitely the Coca Cola Freestyle dispenser. I'm trying to cut down on the amount of fizzy drinks I consume but the vast choices of flavours makes this very hard! I just want to try all the different flavours and make new combinations.

It has a very american feel when you're eating in the diner and you can see that Five Guys are not modest in their fame with press and reviews framed on their walls. I actually enjoyed the loud atmosphere and felt that it was a lot more casual and therefore more fitting for a burger chain.

It is very expensive for fast food especially when comparing to McDonalds but compared to Handmade Burger Co it's all relative. I do think it's extremely overpriced and I can see that haters are gonna hate and fanboys are going to worship.

I love the colour of this nail varnish, it's a really lovely and light colour perfect for a cool summer colour. In some lights this nail varnish looks blue and in others it looks light grey.

One coat doesn't provide enough coverage so for a flawless finish apply two coats. A top coat isn't necessary because Barry M's Gelly polish is designed to provide a glossy finish without the need for a second finish.

I'm lusting after all of Barry M's Gelly summer collection polishes and I'm very tempted to buy them all!

I love starting my day with a healthy, light meal and what better way to get the day going than with pancakes. This recipe is inspired by Doves Farm's recipe (click here for original) but I just reduced the milk needed, everything else is the same including the method. My sisters don't really like gluten free foods and associate it with bland, rice cake style foods but when I made these pancakes they couldn't tell that they were gluten free!

200g Gluten Free Plain White Flour
2 Eggs
300ml Milk
Oil (for frying pan)

Put the flour and egg into a mixing bowl.
Add the milk in a little at a time whilst beating it into the batter.
Mix well and leave to rest for an hour (30 minutes also does the trick).
Lightly oil and heat a frying pan.
Put half a ladle of batter into the pan for a perfect thickness pancake, remember to roll the batter around the surface.
Cook until golden then turn over, or try for a good flipping.
Serve warm.

I like to prepare all the toppings whilst the batter is resting, that way everyone can choose their toppings. This is perfect for a pancake party where you don't have time to faff around finishing them off.

My favourite toppings are banana, blueberries with a hint of chocolate spread. You can also experiment with different fruits, chocolate chips, nuts or the simple butter and maple syrup, or why not try blending a banana and adding it to the batter for a more infused banana taste?

What are your favourite pancake toppings?
