a pancake and then some.

Hey everyone, this is just another annual holiday post to inform you on what i've been up to... So yesterday was Shrove Tuesday also known as Pancake Day! A whole day dedicated to a piece of food is just amazing! I didn't have pancakes for breakfast unfortunately but instead spent the afternoon making pancakes with my flatmates and had them for dinner. I was so shocked that no one else knew how to make pancake batter because it's so simple. There's a Jamie Oliver "1tweetrecipe" on Twitter and I was having a roam around his profile and the amount of people replying to his recipe tweet with stupid questions like "How big should the cup be?" etc were just frustrating me! It's meant to be simple and straight forward and practically self explanatory in one tweet, grahh. Anyway there were 6 of us including me making pancakes and we all took turns to have a good flip, not that I really did it because the pancake wouldn't even reach the end of the pan lol. I'm just a weakling lol. We had a variety of toppings: chocolate chip, Nutella, strawberries, raspberries, banana, syrup, lemon juice, sugar, whip cream and ice cream! It was so yummy I actually had 4 pancakes (super full ><) and there was one left which none of us wanted but we ended splitting it because otherwise it would have been a waste! It was such a good afternoon with non stop laughter!
What did everyone have topped on their pancakes?

Also as you may know from the hundreds of gloomy tweets and Facebook updates it's Valentine's Day tomorrow. As a singleton myself i'm not too hyped up about this holiday but i'm also not complaining and moaning how it's over rated. I think it's so stupid how girls say they hate Valentine's Day and how it's a commercial holiday for retailers to make a profit, although this is half true they wouldn't be saying this if a man treated them to a lovely meal at a posh restaurant or like they wouldn't turn away a bunch of gorgeous flowers if they turned at their door! Yes a man should show his love everyday of the year but being treated like a princess for at least one day a year is damn romantic. I'm just going to treat it like a normal day and do my work, watch a film etc...
What plans do you have for Valentine's Day tomorrow? I'd love to know all the cute things your boyfriend has planned for you or what you're doing if you're also a fellow singleton!
